Carmen Martínez Lerga is a specialist in the formulation of topical pharmaceutical products, with more than 20 years of international experience in research, innovation, and product development across the pharmaceutical, dermopharmaceutical, and cosmetic sectors.
She began her scientific career in Spain, contributing to research projects at the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) in Barcelona before moving into the pharmaceutical industry.
Since 2007, she has developed her professional career in the United Kingdom, holding technical and leadership roles at companies including Croda, Unilever, STADA, and INEOS Hygienics. Her expertise spans formulation development, excipient selection, efficacy evaluation, and regulatory affairs for topical pharmaceutical and cosmetic formulations.
She is currently the Founder of Olalla Consulting, where she advises companies on innovation, formulation development, scientific validation, and regulatory strategy. By combining scientific rigour with extensive industrial experience, she helps organisations accelerate the successful development and commercialisation of new products.
